Economics at HEC
Research and teaching in economics and statistics at HEC is the responsibility of the Department of Economics and Decision Sciences, which counts 12 full-time faculty members and has a highly international orientation, with colleagues from 7 different nationalities and 6 holders of foreign Ph.D. degrees, 3 affiliate professors CNRS and 3 adjunct professors.
Last year members of the department have had about twenty papers published or forthcoming in top academic journals in Economics and Statistics such as Econometrica, Games and Economics Behaviour, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Mathematical Economics, Management Science, Operations Research, Rand Journal of Economics, as well as other highly regarded international journals.
The Department of Economics and Decision Sciences spans research activities in diverse areas of both economics and statistics, such as decision theory, financial economics, game theory, general equilibrium, indirect inference and robustness theory, international economics, macroeconomics.
Alessandro CITANNA, Professor of Economics, is the Program Director of the Real Estate Chair.
The department runs a highly successful Ph.D. program and hosts visiting faculty from leading US and European schools. It sponsors 3 research seminars series per year.
